One of our the most popular sessions in recent years, Fishbanks is a game that teaches the tragedy of the commons with a computer simulation of fishing fleets and fish populations. Participants will experience the game as it could be implemented in a classroom, with a debrief at the end to cover important discussion points.
Fishbanks is available for K-12 educators to use for free (as “academic” users) – to register, go to go to http://bit.ly/fishbanks and click “Register as an administrator,” then fill out the subsequent form using the email address connected to your institution (it doesn’t need to end in “.edu”, but personal email addresses are not accepted).
